This is the first piece I created for my Tiny Writing series in 2011. I had no plan to add writing to this, it all happened by accident.
I started with all the squiggly lines and thought it looked like writing and that’s how it all started.
I live with chronic pain and this piece represents me being fed up with all of the pills. The doctor was prescribing bottle after bottle of some pretty strong stuff and there came a day when I just had enough.
I quit cold turkey and used the remaining 117 pills to create this painting.
